Founding engineer on Tazama (Gates Foundation, Linux Foundation), platform engineer at Obrizum (250K+ users, defence sector), and founder of Reaktif shipping Osprey (opensource.finance), TaskWing (taskwing.app), and Markwise (markwise.app) to 15+ countries. AWS Community Builder since 2022.
Joseph Goksu builds platforms that scale -- from financial inclusion infrastructure to defence-grade enterprise systems to indie products shipped across 15+ countries. He was a founding engineer on Tazama, a Gates Foundation-funded transaction monitoring platform now hosted by the Linux Foundation, and currently builds internal platforms at Obrizum (250,000+ users). Through his company Reaktif, he ships Osprey (opensource.finance), TaskWing (taskwing.app), and Markwise (markwise.app). AWS Community Builder since 2022. Based in Cambridgeshire, UK.
Joseph Goksu was a founding engineer on Tazama, a real-time transaction monitoring platform built to detect fraud and money laundering in emerging markets. The project was funded by the Gates Foundation, is now hosted by the Linux Foundation, and was recognised as a Digital Public Good in 2024. He led the engineering effort that turned the open-source base into a commercial product processing 3,000 transactions per second.
He now builds internal platforms at Obrizum serving 250,000+ users including defence sector clients. His work spans infrastructure, developer tooling, and platform reliability at scale.
Outside his day job, Joseph runs Reaktif, shipping Osprey (opensource.finance), TaskWing (taskwing.app), and Markwise (markwise.app) to users in 15+ countries. His open-source work has 900+ GitHub stars across 52 repositories.
Joseph leads the Reactive Programming Group (1,000+ members) and Solo Founder Network, and has been an AWS Community Builder since 2022.
